AppleGate

“Hi Jony.”

“Hi Tim.”

“Jony, are you sure about changing the symbols on AppleGate?”

“It’s fine, Tim, the set of 39 glyphs on the original Stargate were all too angular, and the concepts behind the interface were just going to be too hard for users to grasp. Our AppleGate system is far more intuitive than the competing Stargate system, and we’ve used symbols users will already be familiar with.”

“Are you absolutely sure that using emoji for the addresses won’t cause issues interfacing with the existing network?”

“It’s probably fine, but remember that people using the existing Stargates to connect to an AppleGate will arrive with a green kawoosh, but people using our proprietary GateTime technology will arrive with a blue kawoosh. Peer pressure will soon drive adoption of AppleGates.”

“That’s a fair point, but do we really have to have the poop emoji on there?”

“Tim, we need a way to dial Microsoft’s head office.”

“Cool, ship it.”
